Message from the Director, CCD

 

I am really delighted and happy to be associated with Center for Career Development (CCD) at Green University of Bangladesh (GUB).

CCD was established and started its journey back in 2013 at GUB with the vision to develop the graduates with skills, so that they can make them competent in the job market. Besides, another objective of CCD was not only to provide the jobs to the students/graduates but also to prepare them for the competitive job market so that they can easily perform and get their cherished jobs through their acquired skills and knowledge from GUB.

It is mandatory for all the students of final two semesters (11 and 12) to enroll for a non-credit course named Professional Life Skill Development (PLSD) which is being conducted by the CCD. The course has been designed to develop the skills of the students like CV Writing, Interview Preparation, Development of Presentation Skill, Professional Etiquette and Grooming. The experienced industrial experts are being invited to conduct the session of this course as Guest Speaker and they assess the students with their constructive guidelines to develop the students for future penetration in the job market.

CCD is also responsible to organize seminar, workshop, job fair and sessions for the development of the graduates and existing students. On the other side, CCD is working for industry collaboration, finding opportunities for the internship program and job placement in a continuous way. I am very grateful to our alumni body those who are working in the industry with success, shining their career and reflecting the name and glory of GUB as its mirror. They are also supporting the activities of CCD to create more opportunities for the running students by which they can follow the footprints of the alumni in near future.

Meanwhile, I am also happy to see that our graduates are working in different national. international and multinational corporations as well as renowned banks in leading positions at home and abroad. We do also support our students and graduates for their career planning and help them to choose the right track for them after evaluating their academic result, extracurricular activities, organizing skills and mostly leadership quality.

Lastly, I would like to say that I strongly believe as a GUB family member, it is producing l skilled and quality graduates for the job market and they can compete in any situation and prospecting they will be at the peak of their career in very near future. CCD is always with you all and will be always for a better journey together.
